Samantha Eskridge, Ph.D.
Samantha D. Eskridge is a State of Kansas Licensed Psychologist. Dr. Eskridge works with children, adolescents and adults, providing psychological assessment as well as treatment. She sees a variety of client issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, as well as non-compliance issues in children. Dr. Eskridge is passionate about her work with individuals who have developmental disabilities and wants them to achieve their full potential. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Parent Management Training (PMT).
"Working with children involves getting everyone, including school and parents, on the same page," Dr. Eskridge stated. "Children need to know that their actions, positive or negative, result in consistent consequences. When children learn this, it shapes their behavior in a positive manner which helps them navigate their environment in a successful way."
"My goal in therapy to help people find what they are passionate about, which will spark the client to be invested in their future" Dr. Eskridge explained. "Once they are invested in their future, then we can work on the barriers that are stopping them from achieving their goals," she concluded.
Dr. Eskridge is proud that she was born and raised right here in Wichita. She loves this city and embraces the unique local culture and businesses that Wichita has to offer. She is passionate about cheerleading as she cheered from middle school through college. Dr. Eskridge started coaching cheerleading two years ago. She hopes that she has impacted her athletes lives as much as they have impacted hers. She is married and has one cat (Jax) and six Koi fish (Dr. Pepper, Mr. Pibb, Cheeto, Poseidon, Batman, and Ninja). Her hobbies include playing board games, watching Wichita State basketball, and traveling.
